When one thinks of Danish Modernism one of the masters that comes to mind is Hans Wegner (1914-2007). As a child he apprenticed for a carpenter. In his mid years Wegner worked for another iconic Danish designer, Arne Jacobsen. In later years he aligned himself with such companies as PP Mobler, Johannes Hansen, Carl Hansen & Son, Fritz Hansen & Erik Jorgensen to name a few. Wegner is probably best known for his chairs.
