DUNBAR

As far back as the early1900’s Dunbar established a reputation for providing quality hand crafted products to America’s most discerning clientele. Their first creations were quality buggies and horse drawn carriages. With the advent of the automobile Dunbar transitioned to fine furnishings. As fate would have it a young designer by the name of Edward Wormley came on the scene in the early 1930’s only to become the company’s design director for the next three decades. With a passion for detail and an eye for quality Wormley’s new perspective catapulted Dunbar into the American interior landscape positioning Wormley to icon status in American design and furniture history. Dunbar continues Wormley’s legacy today producing custom specified hand crafted furnishings. The images above are vintage selections which can invariably be sourced on 1stdibs.
