ClassiCon
is a name I only became familiar with last year. (http://www.classicon.com) Sure many of us are familiar with companies like B&B Italia, Herman Miller, Poliform, Cappellini, Fritz Hansen, and Knoll, yet ClassiCon is not a widely familiar name by the average lay person when one thinks of modern design. Shame on you & me for not knowing ....LOL. As the name implies this modern furnishings company truly embodies the reference "classic modern design" since many of their designs possess a timeless aesthetic. The company offers classics by recognized figures Eileen Gray (1878-1976) and Brazilian designer Sergio Rodrigues (1927 - ) as well as pieces by more current designers like Konstantin Grcic.
From time to time I will write about modern design companies that fly a bit under the radar screen here in the U.S. And just because they are not as well known, don't discount their quality, form and funtional use.
Once again given the limited photo allowance of this particular platform I can only include 5 photos per post. Be sure to check out ClassiCon's website mentioned above to peruse and familairize more so with their designs.
